This week on Ditch arts and culture show…

The team from Shoreditch Radio’s DITCH arts and culture show are here every Thursday 3-4pm bringing you all the creative bits and pieces happening in Shoreditch and the East End.This weekend looks a little something like this:

Friday

Michael Jackson Wardrobe: The Collection of Tompkins & Bush at Westfield Stratford City open from 10am. A unique collection of personal and concert tour wardrobe worn by the world renowned “King of Pop” and possessed by Michael Jackson’s long-term costume designers, Michael Bush and Dennis Tompkins. The exhibition forms the UK-leg of a worldwide tour and will showcase outfits not seen since they were worn on stage or screen.

DJ Harvey at the Red Bull music academy at Oval Space. 10pm-5am Friday 19 October. The man who helped pioneer the disco edit and known as an all-round legendary DJ over several decades. Red Bull MA welcomes Harvey to Bethnal Green’s Oval Space, so expect a huge party soundtracked by disco, thumping funk-driven house, dancefloor-oriented techno and a whole lot more.

Mixmag live presents Carl Craig at Village Underground, Shoreditch 6pm-4am. Tickets £12-16. After recently celebrating the 20th anniversary of his Planet-E imprint, the pioneering producer, composer and DJ will be guest editing a section of the magazine as well as performing a very special show for us at London’s Village Underground.

Saturday

3D Printshow at The Brewery. London’s first major 3D printing trade and consumer event, this event will showcase the extraordinary range of applications 3D print technology has and demonstrate to the consumer how it will affect their lives in the future. Running 20 to 21 October 2012 10am to 7pm and tickets cost  £19.95

Algerian Cultural Festival at Richmix  .This year marks the 50th anniversary of Algeria’s independence and to celebrate, Rich Mix is hosting the first ever UK-based Algerian cultural festival. Daytime films, talks, evening dance and live music including Yadi who came on the Ditch show a couple of weeks ago. Noon-1am and it’s free during the day, £12 after 7.45pm
