Café Forty-One – London’s first vegan French Pâtisserie

Think afternoon tea and indulgent, cream filled eclaires alongside endless salmon and cream cheese sandwiches spring to mind; so a vegan take on this British custom is a new concept for the evolving plant based food scene. Located in La Suite West Hotel in London’s west end, Café Forty-One is defying stereotypes surrounding plant-based food while putting a unique twist on classic British and French favourites.

Featuring a melange of treats including scones hot from the oven, a selection of sandwiches, macarons, profiteroles and biscuits, this afternoon tea is a feast for the senses and is accompanied by bottomless hot drinks and a glass on non-alcoholic fizz. Also available on their expansive menu is a distinctive vegan breakfast, lunch and all-day dessert to suit the changing seasons.

The breakfast menu features an eclectic selection, from vegan Full English, to warming mushroom and black bean porridge – a creamy and delicious savoury alternative, made from hearty favourites including button mushrooms and black beans topped with vegan ‘bacon’. For those craving a sweeter start to the day, delicious brioche French toast is served with perfectly roasted plums bursting with flavour. Their ‘unbelievably vegan’ lunch menu serves up a load more winning dishes including the Chef’s signature ‘Alpine Ravioles’ with fresh coleslaw’, sun-dried tomatoes and a smoky glaze.

As London’s only vegan French pâtisserie, Café Forty-One serves up an innovative menu full of wonderful plant base creations worth checking out. Afternoon tea for two comes in at £35 per head.
