Bitcoin – Celebrity endorsement, fakes and shenanigans

Jim Davidson apparently swears by bitcoins. We’ve all had the emails in our inboxes about it – how you can make lots and lots in simply hours. But bitcoin? Would you go there yourself, irrespective of celebrity endorsements? Other celebs mixed up in the online fiasco of endorsements include Gordon Ramsey, Piers Morgan and Martin Lewis. If its apparently good enough for them, it’s good enough for you…

The bitcoin revolution has been something the dark web has got involved with too with more salubrious transactions taking place. There is money to be made, but you really do have to (some extent) understand what you’re doing. Bitcoin is a known as a ‘cryptocurrency’ – a type of digital transfer of money which can be bought with alternative currencies, trading in them which are then used to purchase goods and services. Cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin run on a technology called blockchain – essentially a huge online database of the transactions made – which are anonymous, a large part of its charm to would-be and avid bitcoiners alike.

Is the revolution over?  Most people who understood in the early days have made their money and are likely already off. Facebook has now also started to introduce its own style of bitcoin. Those early bitcoiners were most likely able to cash in on most people’s fear or innocence around systems in place and the various different cryptocurrencies – The top ten at the moment being listed on Investopedia as: Ethereum, Ripple, Litecoin, Tether, Bitcoin Cash, Libra, Monero, EOS, Bitcoin SV and Binance coin. The world of Bitcoin moves so fast, it is hard to keep up! And that is where the goldmine is to be had, maybe?
