The Rare Groove Show is founded on jazz & soul and on one man’s 30 year history of record collecting and DJing. Rooted in the underground London club and radio scene, the show knows no boundaries. Listeners are as likely to hear Joni Mitchell or Edu Lobo as they are Mulatu Astatke or the latest Theo Parrish 12″.

Whether it’s underground techno music from Detroit or bamboo flute music from Japan, the Rare Groove Show has you covered – as long as it has a groove. The show, presented by Daniel Bouquet, is a strictly vinyl show and in its long association with Shoreditch Radio, Daniel has never played a CD or MP3.

The Rare Groove Show regularly presents detailed artist and label profiles. Past profiles include: Marvin Gaye, Leon Ware, The Mizell Brothers, Earth, Wind & Fire and The Blackbyrds.
